Employment Assistance

For more than 14 years we have been assisting the community with employment, resumes, cover letters, interviewing techniques and practice scenarios. We've learned that these services are advantageous for so many employment candidates and as our workforce has taken on more remote and hybrid roles, we find that life has made this the best suited employment option for many people due to their work life balance needs. Many are faced with life decisions that make it difficult to work outside of the home comfortably, so Colors Community Resources' Employment Assistance programming has been focused on remote work opportunities for the last 5 years as a major solution to many challenges that were historic in nature when working outside the home.

Our employment mission

We're on a mission to make remote employment a permanent normalcy in today's business markets. Rather than an employee going to an employer's office 40 hours per week and incurring the costs of gas, car maintenance, public transportation costs, daycare costs for children and/or adult family members, food and beverage costs, and the very possibility of an uncomfortable work environment, we believe working remotely provides an immediate salary increase, as well as a mental health break and minimizes stress by way of eliminating office politics.

Our employment vision

We want everyone to live in a world where people can work in comfortable environments, while minimizing their expenses to remain gainfully employed in positions that match their needs rather than having to find a compromise and settle on the second-best option...returning to the employer's location. That's why we take a lot of time and care in obtaining remote employment listings and getting the word out to those seeking a work from home opportunity that is challenging, but enjoyable while allowing them to gain a fair living.

Our job fairs

Our goal is to support the needs of the community at large by providing a central location where prospective employees can meet, greet, chat and apply for employment opportunities. With all the resources to assist them in their application process including computer labs, organizations to assist with resume assistance, interviewing techniques, and job coaching being available at the same time, it makes it much easier to successfully complete the application process.
